Linn Svensson is a textile artist who mainly produces works in embroidery or quilt techniques. Her present practice centers around figuration and narrative, expressed through both drawings and traditional textile handicraft.

In her chosen mediums, she creates compositions portraying people in landscapes, cityscapes or desolate voids. The figures pose in relation to the space inside the composition or the viewer of the work. Lately, she has produced artworks reflecting upon identity regarding roles one is ascribed or ones that are chosen in the course of a lifetime. Both subject matter, materials and techniques are meant to impact the viewers interpretation of the artwork.

While born and raised outside of the city of Karlstad, Sweden, Linn now lives in Oslo where she is currently completing an MFA at The Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She also has a BFA of graphic arts from the same school and an academic master’s degree from the Oslo Metropolitan University.
